The School of Communication Studies reviews applications as follows:
- Students must have a minimum cumulative gpa of 2.75 for consideration (applying with the minimum does not guarantee acceptance);
- Students in their first year at Ohio University, i.e., with fewer than 48 credit hours, may apply for the March 1 cycle for transfer the following Fall quarter (September);
- Students who have completed more than 48 hours may apply by October 1 for transfer the following Winter quarter (January) or March 1 for transfer the following Spring quarter (April);
- Students must apply online using the form (the link is displayed above and to the right when applications are accepted), available approximately two weeks prior to the deadline, i.e., September 15 during the Fall quarter and February 15 during the Winter quarter.
- Transfer students from another university must abide by the policies spelled out in the "Undergraduate Admissions" page at the beginning of the current university catalog.
University policy requires that processing the paperwork to change programs takes place only within the first 15 days of each quarter, regardless of the application date.
