Professional Experience: Past experience includes positions as associate provost, interim CIO, and director of space management, Ohio University; associate dean, College of Communication, Ohio University; interim director, director of graduate studies, and director of undergraduate studies, School of Communication Studies, Ohio University; assistant professor, University of New Mexico and University of Wisconsin-Green Bay; consulting editor, Communication Quarterly; associate editor, Quarterly Journal of Speech and The Ohio Speech Journal; editorial board member, Communication Education, Communication Quarterly, and Free Speech Yearbook; consulting and training projects for various clients, e.g., Albuquerque City Schools, Los Alamos National Laboratory, Marathon Oil, and the U. S. Marshals Service; staff and line management positions in private industry and state government.
