PHILOSOPHY
The emphasis of the camp is on teaching both novice and experienced students the skills and theory necessary to successfully participate in interscholastic speech activities. While many camps send students home with a single polished product, we send students home with a process they can use to make all of their performances polished.

ELIGIBILITY
Students are eligible for the camp if they have completed the 8th grade.

SCHEDULE
Campers arrive Sunday afternoon. Workshops and classes meet throughout the day, starting at 8:00 a.m., Monday through Friday. Practice and individual coaching sessions continue during the evenings. The week concludes with a camp tournament and showcase Saturday morning.

* NEW* EXTENSION SCHEDULE
This year a camp extension is being offered for students to take their performance skills to the next level. Workshops and classes will continue through to the 23rd. This supplement will provide students with the opportunity for polishing, fine-tuning, and one on one training with senior staff members.

FACILITIES
The camp offers a carefully supervised introduction to college life. Students live in university residence halls, eat in a campus dining center, and attend workshop sessions and lectures in university buildings. Campers will also have access to the OU Libraries, internet computer labs as well as OU recreational facilities. The structure, opportunities, and adult supervision available at OU make the OU Summer Forensics Camp an excellent choice.

AIRPORT PICK-UP/DROP-OFF
We are pleased to offer pick-up/drop-off service from the Columbus airport at the cost of $30 each way. Campers should play to arrive at the Columbus Airport no later than 2:00 pm on Sunday, July 14th. Campers should schedule flights home any time after 4:00 pm on Saturday, July 20th (if they are not staying for the Extension Session).
