My name is Ran Ju. I earned my BA degree in Advertising in China in 2007. With the passion for learning, I went to Morehead State University (Kentucky) to continue my study in communication after I got my bachelor degree. I worked as a teaching assistant there and earned my Master's degree in Communication in May of 2009. Through my two-year study in the United States, I generated an interest in both intercultural communication and rhetoric. I want to explore how culture differences influence the rhetoric. Moreover, I did a research of examining the eastern and western versions of 2008 Beijing Olympic Games Website and this study led me into the computer mediated communication field. I believe in this era, computer mediated communication is an important part of people? life, so I also want to explore this field in my future study.  I look forward to open a new chapter in my life in Ohio University, and I hope through this doctoral program I can reach my goal of being a professional communication scholar.
