Communication Studies would like to congratulate Raymie McKerrow as the recipient of The Critical and Cultural Studies Division Lifetime Achievement Award– a prestigious acknowledgement for a person who has significantly contributed to field of Critical and Cultural Studies. Raymie has been recognized as a person whose scholarship, mentorship, and his leadership in the role of founding and developing this division in NCA has significantly contributed to the growth of other scholars, and leaders in the field.

He has been widely recognized by peers as a person who has a “tireless commitment critical thinking and social change …. to scholarship, agitation, leadership and mentorship… to progressive thinking in newer forms of inquiry, as one who has been a lightening rod, and is a wonderful colleague/mentor, brilliant scholar and a caring human being” – we are certainly blessed with his presence and contributions here throughout the corridors and classroom of Lasher Hall in Ohio University.
