I graduated from Saint Mary’s College in Notre Dame, IN, in 2008 with a Bachelor of Arts in Communication Studies and minors in French and Intercultural Studies.  Throughout my undergraduate career, I developed a strong interest in the messages and impact of the mass media, particularly film and television.  I am also interested in intercultural communication and the ways in which different cultures utilize and are influenced by the media.  I plan to continue my studies in the Rhetoric and Public Culture track.

 

For the past year I’ve been working as a workers’ compensation claims adjuster for Indiana Insurance in Milwaukee, WI.  I’m really excited to get back into academia, and am definitely looking forward to moving somewhere a little less frigid!  In my free time, I love music (playing piano, singing, and of course listening to good music!) and I’m proud to be a huge bookworm.  I’m looking forward to meeting all of you!
